THIS ELECTION PUT NORTH QUEENSLAND FIRST & VOTE THE BIG PARTIES LAST
For the first time in recent history, North Queenslanders have an opportunity to hold the balance of power in Queensland politics.
North Queenslanders: We have the power to shape the future of Queensland.
For far too long, the politics, needs and wants of the South East Corner have dominated the political agenda, overshadowing the real issues that affect the daily lives of North Queenslanders.
But this time, you have a choice: put the major parties last and vote for what truly matters to you.
Your vote is your voice, and it’s time to make it heard on the issues that impact your neighborhood, your family, and your future.

By focusing on the candidates and policies that address the specific needs of North Queensland, we can build a community that reflects our shared values and aspirations. Don’t let party labels dictate your choices—vote with your heart, your mind, and your community in mind.
This election, let’s prioritize the issues over the parties and work together for a brighter, stronger future.
Issues
WHAT NORTH QUEENSLANDERS WANT…
We've been forgotten
For far too long the needs of North Queensland have been overshadowed by the Brisbane and the South East Corner.
North Queensland needs to send our politicians a message.
It’s time to put our needs first and be the politicians we deserve.
North Queenslanders need to disregard traditional party values and loyalties. Instead we must start selecting candidates on their ability to get things done for North Queensland.
If your sick of the status quo in North Queensland, this is your chance to change the balance of power and elect politicians who put their region first.
This election day, isn’t it time to put North Queensland First?
SEQ to get $7.1B in Infrastructure for the 2032 Olympics
It seems there’s no expense to be spared when it comes to decking out Brisbane for it’s Olympic debut.
Whether it’s new stadiums, entertainment precincts, transportation hubs, athlete villages, there’s money being spent on these games, and only a tiny chunk of it is going to the North.
Don’t we deserve more than just the tourism-bounce from pre-post games festivities.
If you’re sick of the status quo in North Queensland, this election day is your chance to change the balance of power and elect Politicians who put their region first.
This election day, isn’t it time to put North Queensland First?
Housing Crisis Hits NQ
North Queensland is experiencing a massive housing and homelessness crisis with the rate of homelessness increasing by 29% since 2017*. The Government must address the housing crisis to ensure North Queenslanders are able to live safely without the fear of impending homelessness.

Locals terrified of Youth Crime Gangs
The Youth Crime Epidemic in North Queensland is terrifying.
But who is looking out for NQ?
Our politicians need to step up and ensure funding is provided to the agencies that can make a difference.
North Queenslanders shouldn’t have to live in fear because SEQ politicians forget we exist.
Cost of Living Explosion
Cost of living pressures are being felt acutely in Cairns, Townsville and surrounding areas. Vulnerable sections of society can no longer afford housing. Overcrowding causes family conflict and poor mental health. North Queenslanders deserve better. “Last year the Qld Government delivered at $14 billion dollar surplus. This should be enough for all of us, but as our state gets richer, more and more Queenslanders can’t afford the basics”

Sick of SEQ Politicians deciding what's best
North Queensland plays second fiddle to the South East corner thanks largely because of density of population. This means the SEQ politicians determine how our region is funded, what we need and how we spend the money. It’s time for North Queensland to take charge in North Queensland.
Take Action
THIS ELECTION DAY, VOTE THE MAJOR PARTIES LAST!
Like a little fish in a big pond, the voices of the politicians who represent the major parties are often overwhelmed by the party-line. The good of the party comes before the needs of the communities they represent.
The 2024 Queensland election offers North Queenslanders an opportunity to hold the balance of power. Queensland is undergoing a cultural shift that is seeing voters move away from traditional party-lines and towards issues based politics. By voting Local or Independent, we can hasten that shift and ensure that North Queensland gets the representation it deserves.
01. VOTE LOCAL
Consider voting for candidates who’s focus is North Queensland. Parties like the Katter Australia Party who only run candidates in North Queensland and are focused on improving the lives of North Queenslanders.
02. VOTE INDEPENDENT
Independent candidates are only successful when they meet the needs of their constituents. With no party loyalty to sway their votes, these candidates have the opportunity to truly be a mouthpiece for their community. Independent candidates are a great option to stop the major parties from forcing their agenda onto North Queensland communities.
